Cuatro Christian School, located at Legaspi Compound, Sitio Dilain, Barangay San Juan Valley Golf, Cainta, Rizal, Philippines, was established in May 2006, and currently educates 375 students, from impoverished communities. The school was founded primarily to provide a quality Christian education for the children of New Faith Family Children's Home. Because of gaps in the children’s education due to the hardships of poverty, neglect and abandonment, the children needed a unique setting that enabled them to learn despite previous educational delays. Thus, was born Cuatro Christian School. In partnership with Tagumpay Evangelical Baptist Church in Legaspi Compound, a school building was built in 2007 in the heart of the community to accommodate the growing number of children from the Children's Home and the community. That same year CCS educated 65 students. The third year, 2008, enrollment reached 75, creating a need for additional classroom space. Again CCS's prayers were answered, this time in partnership with Jesus Christ’s Church in the Valley (JCCV), who provided the school with additional needed space. With the combined partnership of both churches, CCS enrolled 120 students in its fourth year. That same year CCS started its special education program, was recognized with a permit from the Department of Education and became a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. In 2010, CCS celebrated five years of educating students and held its first 6th grade graduation ceremony. To that point and since has been a testimony of God’s graciousness in providing for our school through our faithful partners—our financial sponsors, teachers, administration, Board members, and parents. Each of these is sacrificing to give these children, not only a hope out of poverty through a quality education, but a strong foundation for discovering and fulfilling God’s purposes for their lives. With people’s help in facilitating and sponsoring CCS, we hope to bring more children off the streets and into the classrooms, with the hope and prayer that we will make a lasting impact such that they will live out their lives in pursuit of a life glorifying to God. |
